UV Light Source Module for Antiviral and Antibacterial Disinfection

This 222 nm excimer lamp module uses USHIO’s proprietary optical filter to block harmful ultraviolet wavelengths.
Although it uses a UV-C light source, it can be used in occupied spaces and is effective against viruses, bacteria, and mold.
- * It provides effective disinfection of both surface and airborne viruses by irradiation with ultraviolet light.
- * This product uses “Care222®” technology developed by Ushio Inc.
- * Care222® is a trademark or registered trademark of Ushio, Inc. and Ushio America, Inc.
Efficacy against viruses *1
Surface viruses *2
Airborne viruses *3
- *1Effectiveness is limited to surface and airborne viruses irradiated with ultraviolet light in an enclosed space. Efficacy varies according to use environment and irradiation conditions. This is not a demonstrated result based on actual use in a room.
- *2Disinfection time was calculated based on central illuminance, intermittent operation (15 seconds ON/75 seconds OFF), and a 1.5 m irradiation distance. References are as follows.

Disinfection effect on mold
- *1These results are not based on testing in actual use environments.
- *2Mold solution (0.5 mL) was dropped onto plastic dishes, and irradiation experiments were conducted using ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 222 nm and irradiation dosages of 100, 250, and 500 mJ/cm2. After ultraviolet irradiation, the bacterial solution was applied to agar medium and incubated at 25°C for 72 hours. The number of colonies was then counted to evaluate the disinfection effect. The attenuation rates (N=2) was plotted. References are as follows.

Fungistatic effect on mold
The fungistatic effect that suppresses mold growth can be achieved even at relatively low energy doses.
